Cancer Sucks. Esophageal Cancer Sucks More.

This has been a terrible week. On Tuesday I got blood test results. My liver function readings have deteriorated somewhat. The CEA (tumor marker) reading shot up, the opposite of what I expected. John Hawker passed away on Wednesday. Yesterday hospice was called in for Travis Poll. He's in a lot of pain. It's easy to get discouraged. ------------------------------------------

  2. Jerry,
Sorry to hear you didn't get good results on your test.
Keep up the positive thoughts though: they really do help alot.
Prayers from me as always :)

  3. My prayers are with you, Jerry (and John's family and Travis). As you know, some weeks suck more than others. Seems like this is one of the suckier ones for you. Take care of you.

  4. Hang in there Jerry. This week sucks bad, but don't let it get you down too much. John is probably watching over you and Travis right now.

  5. Hey Jerry... if you're going to be #4... you have to hang in there. I know its hard to see so many around you passing away... especially those you have gotten close to. On the other hand they are no longer in pain... they have run their race and are now with God rooting you on in yours! I'm rootin for you too... as I continue to be my husband Robert's greatest fan as well. (He is also battling esophageal cancer.)
